If two elkh are both good-intentioned adults, they can make an offering to Aiti, who will bless them with a fawn of their own. The fawn features traits from both parents, and all of the fawn's traits must be inherited from one or both parents. This happens regardless of the parents' genders, their subspecies, or owners. The parents can both make a wish for a specific trait one of them already possesses to appear on the baby.
The traits that your fawn may inherit include the mane, tail, antlers, ears, markings, colors (any colors found on the parents, or a mixture created by their colors), subspecies, and any additional rare traits or features! You may choose 2 of these traits; the rest are determined by RNG.
Each trait has a 50% chance of being inherited via RNG, and if both parents share the same trait, the fawn has a 100% chance of inheriting that trait. If only one parent has a particular marking from the "Other" section, that trait has a 50% chance of being inherited. Restricted traits are not heritable. You may choose two specific traits already seen in the parents to appear on the baby. If the parents are different subspecies, the baby has a 1/3 chance of being either purely one of the two subspecies, or a hybrid (including both beps and sonos!). Babies are born as fawns and cannot breed, be working class, or participate in adult storyline prompts. Fawns are all MYOs that you design yourself unless you commission an artist with either money or gildes to design your MYO for you.

Aitielkh Breedings
Please note that aitielkh are a separate class--any bep can become or be born as one, but aiti hybrids are not possible. Aiti also do not have specific traits, so while an aiti and an elkh can breed, the fawn will either be 100% aiti or 100% elkh. However, the aiti parent may still influence the resulting fawn's colors even if the fawn itself is not aiti--though the colors will not appear as saturated as aitielkh coats can be.
Notes
- Restricted traits cannot be inherited.
- With mixed breed fawns you may request if you want you fawn to be an aiti or a regular bepotelkh as one of your two chosen traits. If not chosen it will be random which you get.
- There is no trait rarity for aitis but there is for bepotelkh, so if you are breeding an aiti to get a regular bepotelkh you must request the traits you want from the aiti the same way you would as a regular bep (that's why the player requested "unicorn tail" from the aiti parent in the example below)
- If you need help determining aiti traits contact a mod via note or through the bepotelkh Discord chat
- Regular bep fawns bred from aitis will only have colors from the bepotelkh parent, or any natural colors from the aiti. No unnatural colors are allowed on regular bep fawns.

Special Items
There are some items that can affect the outcome of breeding. Right now, these items can be obtained via the Mysterious Specters Seasonal Plot Prompts.
Mysterious Carving Q&A
Q:Can you only combine only two traits or several with the Mysterious carving or do you need one item per combination?
A: you need one carving per combination.
Q:What rarity does the combined trait have?
A: they would be considered rare at that point
Q:If you combine rare and uncommon trait do you pay for both traits?
A: Yes, but if you already have the traits from when you bought the MYO you don't need to buy them again.
Example: i have a bep with unlimited uncommon traits, i want to combine an uncommon and rare trait. I only need to buy the rare trait potion and the mysterious carving.
Q:Does the combined trait count as one trait that can be passed on in breeding?
A: Yes it is inheritable. However, you can't combine it again.
Q:Can i breed a combo trait in fawns?
A: Yes, all you need is the mysterious carving and to state that that is one of the two traits you'd like to keep. You can breed the combo trait from both parents, or from one parent (if the one parent has both traits you want to combine)
Q: Can I purchase a combo trait in a custom from Herboreal?
A: to get a combo trait from a Herboreal custom, you just need to have the traits available. Example: customs come with unlimited common traits and one uncommon trait. If you wanted to combine a common and uncommon trait, you wouldn't need to buy anything extra. If you wanted to combine two uncommon traits, you'd need to buy an additional uncommon trait. If you wanted to combine two rare traits, you'd need to buy two rare traits.

Growing Up
In order to grow up your fawn, you have two options.
Option 1:
The Coming of Age prompts cover your fawn's childhood, and at the end of the fourth yours will have grown up! |
Option 2:
Another offering of gildes to Aiti and your bep will grow up! |
You can design their adult form by yourself, or ask one of the available mods to do it for you. Below is a list of mods who you can ask about their designing services--everyone has their own requirements and may or may not be open, but you're free to ask them at any time!

Examples
And finally, here are some examples of what to expect from a breeding! Please note that the rarity of a trait or marking does not affect the chances of a fawn inheriting it. Also, fawns cannot inherit accessories.
